Veteran’s aid seminar
MARCH 21 — A “Veteran’s Aid and Attendance” seminar is Thursday, March 21, at 5 p.m. at Elder Homestead, 11400 4th St. N., Minnetonka. This event is a benefit that is available for eligible wartime veterans and surviving spouses to help finance assisted living and long-term care. Walleye Dinner/Bake Sale
MARCH 22 — The American Legion Auxiliary will be having a Walleye Dinner and Bake Sale at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 Fourth Ave. S.E. in Osseo, Friday, March 22. The menu includes walleye, shrimp, or steak plus a baked potato, coleslaw and Texas toast. The meals will be served between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome, so bring the family, friends, and neighborhood. If anyone is able to donate baked goods, drop them off at the club by 5 p.m.

MARCH 23 — The Osseo Fire Department will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 12, at noon. The hunt begins at the Osseo Fire Station. MARCH 24 — The Osseo Lions will host its 50th annual Pancake Breakfast on Palm Sunday, March 24, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 Fourth Ave. S.E. in Osseo. The cost to attend is $8 for adults, $5 for kids 4 to 10 years and 3 and under eat free. Discount tickets are available at Dean’s Super Market. There will also be the Second Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser featuring donations from area merchants. All the proceeds support Lion Charities and the Osseo community.

MARCH 26 — Minnesota is designing its own Health Insurance Exchange.
