The Friends of the Delano Public Library will hold its annual used book sale from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, and from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 12, at the library, 160 Railroad Ave. E.
Most paperbacks are priced at $.25 and hardcover books at $.50. Children’s and teen books as well as audio books, videos, DVD’s, will be sold. Both fiction and nonfiction used books are for sale. Books are pre-sorted into the two price ranges and also by genre. Harlequin Romance novels and VHS format movies will be $.10 each. Items have been gently used. Electronic scanners are not allowed at the sale.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has approved matching funds for this sale which is sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Wright County MN Chapter #30106.
All money raised is used by the Friends of the Delano Library to buy new materials specifically for the Delano branch library, to support several library programs, and for additional shelving and furniture.
The used book sale is named in memory of the late John Gow who collected and sorted books for the sale for many years. All donations for the sale this year have been accepted. Please do not drop off any materials for donation at the library until next September when the Friends will begin organizing their next sale.
