DWIs

Corcoran Police reported a DWI arrest Sunday, March 17 at 1:24 a.m. at County Rd. 101 and Stieg Rd. Arrested was Stephen Richard Herman, 40, of Maple Grove for probable cause of4th Degree Misd DWI, pending urine test results.

Theft

Attempted theft of funds was reported Thursday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the 98XX block of County Rd. 19. The reporting party was advised by their bank that an unknown person had attempted to use their social security number, their name and passwords to withdraw $48,000 from a trust fund and have it wired to Georgia. The Officer is waiting for more documents before sending this case to Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a snowmobile complaint on Monday, March 11 at 4:19 p.m. in the 79XX block of County Rd. 116. The reporting party stated there was a young male on a snowmobile jumping a large pool of water. The snowmobile rider was doing this and turning around over and over to jump the water. This process was tearing up the yard. The reporting party stated they had spoken with the snowmobiler regarding this and they wanted extra patrol in the area for a while.

The department responded to a report of forgery on Tuesday, March 12 at 1:26 p.m. in the 226XX block of 109th Ave. The reporting party stated an unknown suspect had attempted to use their Discover credit card, but Discover had declined the purchase. There was no loss. The reporting party was advised to check credit reporting agencies and to make sure no one gained access to their other credit cards.

The department responded to a report of an OFP violation on Thursday, March 14 in the 98XX block of County Rd. 19. The reporting party advised the suspect was continuing to violate the order for protection that was issued. The suspect continues to send text messages and the reporting party was just informed that the suspect had broken into their house and took some items. This case has been forwarded to the city attorney for review of charges.

The department responded to a report of a slumper on Thursday, March 14 at 5:56 p.m. in the 204XX block of County Rd. 50. The reporting party stated there was someone slumped in a vehicle in the area. Officers checked the area and the vehicle and person were gone on their arrival.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious person on Friday, March 15 at 3:32 p.m. in the 69XX block of Oak Ridge Rd. The reporting party stated there was a male that came to the front door looking for the reporting party’s parents. The male stated he had done some catering for them in the past. The male did not identify himself, but was driving a van that had a catering company’s name on the side.

The department responded to a report of suspicious activity on Saturday, March 16 at 11:02 p.m. in the 95XX block of Cain Rd. The reporting party stated an SUV pulled into their driveway and several juveniles exited the vehicle. The reporting party stated the juveniles were playing a game of “getting dropped off.” Officers performed extra patrol in the area.
