On the March 14th episode of Jeopardy!, business analyst Drew Horwood established his place in the quiz show pantheon by winning his eighth straight game, a milestone that few contestants have reached. Since the removal of the “five-game” rule, only Ken Jennings (74 wins), Dave Madden (19 wins), Jason Keller and Dan Pawson (nine wins each) have won more games than the 23-year-old Horwood, while two other contestants also have won eight games apiece. Horwood lost and his winning streak came to end Friday, March 15.

Originally from Maple Grove, Horwood graduated of the University of Minnesota in 2012 with a bachelor of arts in history and a B.S.B. in supply chain and operations management. He now lives in Minneapolis, and a lifetime spent in Minnesota played a role in his success on the show.
