(Editor’s Note: The following contains some but not nearly all the calls reported to Rogers Police from Monday, March 4, through portions of Monday, March 11.)
Monday, March 4
Officers responded to a one car crash occurring at eastbound Interstate 94 just east of Hwy. 101. The vehicle lost control and spun off road – right side. It struck two signs and landed in the median divider of the Hwy. 101 entrance to I-94. Vehicle was towed, no injuries.
Cletis Anthony Chenvert, 40, was arrested at 11700 block of Justen Circle for Wright County warrant, transported to Wright County.
Tuesday, March 5
Officers responded to home on a welfare check at 13400 block of Red Fox Rd. Officers discovered that the homeowner was deceased, suspected suicide. Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department Crime Lab and Detectives responded to the scene.
A caller from the Sunnyside Estates Orchid Avenue neighborhood called concerned about snowmobilers operating on or near school property. She reported the snowmobiles were coming close to children sledding on the hill adjacent to the water tower. An Officer checked the area and was unable to locate snowmobiles on school property.
Received a traffic complaint of a vehicle that cut off cars and was weaving. Officer observed vehicle driving on the shoulder and stopped vehicle. Justin Donald Nathe, 20, was cited for failing to maintain a lane.
Wednesday, March 6
Dispatched to Super America on a report of a gas drive-off. Suspect was last seen traveling southbound on Main Street from Diamond Lake Road South. Officer located suspect vehicle and stopped it on I94 at County Road 81. Sheila Kay Anderson, 53, admitted to not paying for gas, was cited for theft and released.
Kodi Alexander Johnson, 21, was cited for suspended driver’s license and no seat belt use, at 141st Avenue and Main Street.
Erik Algot Lindstrom, 29, was cited for texting/using internet while on roadway and no proof of insurance, at South Diamond Lake Road and Main Street.
Thursday, March 7
Tresspassing/Snowmobile complaint at 11000 block of Tilton Trail S. with a party threatening to snowmobile on another’s property anytime he wants to. Parties were talked to and under the advisement of the property owner at this time he requested it only be documented and if future issues arise then to continue with charges being pressed for trespassing.
Friday, March 8
Umar Jihad Akbar Shabazz, 30, was cited for driving after suspension, at I-94 and Main Street.
Car parked at strip mall style businesses at 14196 Northdale Blvd. Its window was smashed out and purse with belongings were taken from the front passenger seat. Suspect left behind shoe prints in the snow and animal hair transfer on the vehicle.
Brian Patrick Mckenna, 27, was arrested for fourth degree DWI at 21415 136th Ave.
Requested by Wright County to check the area of John Milless Drive /Main Street for a suicidal male, based off a cell phone ping. The male was located in the parking lot of Holiday. A Wright County Deputy arrived a short time later and transported the male to the Buffalo Hospital for evaluation. The male’s wife and step-father arrived a short time later and took custody of the vehicle.
Sunday, March 10
Officer was flagged down by motorist at the intersection of County Rd. 81/John Milless Drive. The motorist was on his cell phone reporting a suspected drunk driver to Hennepin Couny Dispatch when he flagged officer down. The suspect vehicle was stopped and the male driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. Adam Richard Moore, 33, was later booked at Hennepin County Jail. Charges pending results of urine test submitted to BCA for analysis.
Cited female was driver in vehicle that rear ended car stopped at light on south Main Street (Hwy 101). That vehicle then struck the vehicle in front of it. Female has a revoked driver s license, and did not believe there was insurance on the vehicle. Angelene Louise Elvine Rochel, 23, was cited for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance. Charles John Wheeler, 25, was cited for knowing/allowed unlicensed driver to drive his uninsured vehicle.
Monday, March 11
Sami Bryan Sati, 21, was cited for no proof of insurance at Commerce Boulevard and South Diamond Lake Road.
