Construction will begin April 1
The Minnesota Department of Transportation, the city of Brooklyn Park and Hennepin County are hosting an open house for the interchange construction project at Highway 169 and County Road/93rd Avenue Thursday, March 21. The meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the council chambers at Brooklyn Park City Hall, 5200 85th Ave. N.
The open house will provide an opportunity to learn about the project, view project plans, detour routes and the construction schedule. Displays illustrating the construction and future layout will be available. Representatives from MnDOT, the city of Brooklyn Park and Hennepin County will be in available to answer questions.
The project requires removing the existing traffic signal at the Highway 169 and County Road 30 intersection and constructing a new interchange that will provide access to and from southbound Highway 169. The project will begin April 1 and will be completed by November.
