How to Write, Publish and Sell Your Ebook
MARCH 14 — Osseo Area Community Education to present a program for adults on “How to write, publish, and sell your own ebook.” A presentation will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the Maple Grove Junior High School, 7000 Hemlock Lane in Maple Grove. It will be presented by Sybil Smith, publisher of Smith House Press, FINS Publications, and Smith House Press Publishing and Ebook Consultants. The program will include information on how to convert a manuscript into an ebook, royalty rates, costs, formats, promotion and sales. The cost of the program is $25. MARCH 15 & 16 — The Blaine Team Sports, Fitness & Wellness Expo scheduled for Friday, March 15, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road. MARCH 16 — There will be a free Dance and Exercise Camp Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road. There will be free group classes for all ages (salsa, pilates, yoga, tango, zumba, merengue, cumbia, west coast swing and hip-hop) offered all day. MARCH 17 — Start St. Patrick’s Day right with a omelet breakfast at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 Fourth Ave. S.E. in Osseo. Sunday, March 17, the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion Riders will be serving an omelet breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. Come and have an omelet of one’s creation with ingredients and have it prepared right there by the cooks. The cost is $8. The funds go to support different veterans functions as well as other organizations that need help.

MARCH 18 — The Maple Grove Chapter of Women of Today hosts its monthly meeting on the third Monday of each month. Sons of Norway show ‘Art of Norway’
MARCH 19 — The Sons of Norway’s Vestland Lodge will host a presentation, “The Art of Norway,” by Odell Bjerkness Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at the Minnetonka Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd. in Minnetonka. This presentation will examine a wide range of Norwegian art, including the early stylized rock carvings in the northern Norway city of Alta, Viking gripping-beast style of carvings found in the Oseberg Viking ship, architecture of stave churches in 1200, 18th century Romantic oil painters like Johan Christian Dahl and Adolph Tidemand and famous pictorial artist Edvard Munch. Also featured will be Per Krog, who created a large fresco in the United Nations building, the sculpture of Gustav Vigeland in Frogner Park in Oslo and folk artist Sigmund Aarseth. MARCH 24 — The Osseo Lions will host its 50th annual Pancake Breakfast on Palm Sunday, March 24, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 Fourth Ave. S.E. in Osseo. The festival is scheduled for July 11 to 14. It takes many months of planning and many volunteers to put this extraordinary event together. Everyone, residents and non-residents, are welcome to join.
