The city of Maple Grove currently has an opening on the its Arbor Committee. This 11-member committee serves three year terms and focuses on the beautification of the city through tree planting and the preservation of the natural environment and urban forest.
The committee’s mission includes the preservation and protection of existing forests, encouragement of citywide natural resource planning and public education and awareness of natural ecosystem issues. It acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council.
Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 12, and should be directed to the attention of Frank Kampel, P.O. Box 1180, Maple Grove, MN 55311.
