Editor’s Note: The following includes some but not nearly all of the calls reported by Rogers Police from Monday, Feb. 18, through Monday, Feb. 25.
Monday, Feb. 18
Male suspect dispensed $51.55 in unleaded fuel at pump #2 at 21550 South Diamond Lake Rd. and left without making payment. He was reportedly driving a grey sedan, store did obtain a plate number. There was no contact with the vehicle or registered owner at the time of the report.
Dispatched to the area of 141st Avenue North and Northdale Boulevard on a report of a large, tan SUV speeding and cutting off vehicles. The SUV was driven by a white male, ad there was no license plate information. SUV was last seen behind Hardee’s. Checked area, unable to locate.
Theft of scrap metal from a storage shed at a business on 20800 Rogers Dr. was reported.
Matthew James Brindley, 25, was cited for failure to yield, causing a car crash at 13600 Northdale Blvd.
Tuesday, Feb. 19
Responded to an attempted theft at 21615 South Diamond Lake Rd. Determined on arrival that there was a completed felony theft at the business. Loss Prevention recovered the merchandise but the suspect fled. The suspect was identified. There was an attempt to locate pickup and hold put out for the suspect.
Wednesday, Feb. 20
Christopher Patrick Roehl, 24, was cited for improper turn, unsafe change of course after driving very aggressive and almost causing a crash at Main Street and Interstate 94.
A Rogers Officer confronted an Illinois man who was soliciting money from motorists that were stopped at the top of the ramp from westbound I-94 to Main ST. The subject had a cardboard sign and was also approaching cars in the roadway. The man was issued written warning and advised that a future offense would result in a citation and possible arrest.
Seldon Lawrence Churchill, 22, was cited for drug paraphernalia at 128th Avenue and Elm Parkway.
Thursday, Feb. 21
Jason Gilbert Hartel, 31, was cited for loud exhaust after previously being warned Jan. 17. Driver admitted to stepping on the gas pedal to show officer his exhaust noise and honking his horn as he passed officer.
Officer took a call concerning a theft from a construction trailer at 24053 Rivers Edge Rd. Officer then responded to the location to take a report. Two enclosed trailers had the rear lock hasp cut. Numerous construction tools were taken.
Omar Santiago Alvarez, 35, was arrested for not having a valid license and giving false name and date of birth at Commerce Boulevard and South Diamond Lake Road.
Friday, Feb. 22
Dispatched to a personal injury motor vehicle crash on westbound I-94 at the Crow River. A passenger van failed to see that a semi-truck was slowing due to poor road conditions-and they rear-ended the semi. The driver and passenger from the van were transported to the hospital by North Memorial Ambulance. The driver of the other vehicle, a tractor trailer, was not injured. State Patrol responded and wrote the crash.
Saturday Feb. 23
Officers received an alarm call at the Rogers Theater. A vehicle was stopped as it was leaving the lot when Officers arrived. An adult male had fallen asleep in the theater as the business was locked with him still inside.
Gustavo Rios Gutierrez, 27, was cited for no valid license at South Diamond Lake Road and Northdale Boulevard.
Adam Cyrus Martini, 26, was cited for expired tabs at I-94 and Main Street.
Aaron William Patraw, 23, was arrested for misdemeanor Hennepin County warrant at South Diamond Lake Road and Northdale Boulevard.
Sunday, Feb. 24
Darla Rae Eggert, 47, and Michael John Langevin, 44, were cited for Foss law violation at 141st Avenue and Main Street.
Faith Jean Dahlman, 18, was cited for expired registrations at South Diamond Lake Road and Northdale Blvd.
Jason Marvin Nevala, 36, was cited for expired tabs at South Diamond Lake Road and Rogers Drive.
Christian Michael Sullivan, 24, was cited for expired registration and no proof of insurance at Rogers Drive and 134th Avenue.
