DWIs

Corcoran Police reported a DWI arrest Friday, February 22 at 11:52 p.m. at County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 116.  Arrested was Jade M. Haskins-Smith, 26, of Barron, WI for 4th Degree Misd DWI with a .14 BAC.

Arrests

Corcoran Police reported a DAS arrest Monday, February 18 at 12:55 p.m. at County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 101.  Arrested was Graciana Sandoval Zamorano, 23, of Corcoran for driving after suspension of her driver’s license.

Corcoran Police reported a DAR arrest Sunday, February 24 at 12:56 a.m. at County Rd. 30 and Chisholm Tr.  Arrested was Amy Jo Smyser, 36, of Mora for driving after revocation of her driver’s license.

Property damage

The department reported a property damage accident Monday, February 18 at 1:59 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 50 and Trail Haven Rd.  The vehicle was westbound County Rd. 50 near Trail Haven Rd. when it ran off the road due to the ice/snow covered roads. Loretto Towing pulled the vehicle out of the ditch. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a property damage accident Monday, February 18 at 4:35 p.m. in the area of Cain Rd. and County Rd. 10.  The vehicle was westbound County Rd. 10 near Cain Rd. when the driver lost control on the ice packed road and came to a rest in the ditch on the side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a property damage accident Monday, February 18 at 6:39 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 19.  The vehicle slid into the ditch on County Rd. 19 just north of County Rd. 10.  No injuries were reported.

The department reported a property damage accident Tuesday, February 19 at 3:42 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 50.  The vehicle was northbound on County Rd. 19, slid off the road north of County Rd. 50 and struck a speed limit sign. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a property damage accident Tuesday, February 19 at 6:31 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 30.  The vehicle was northbound on County Rd. 19, just south of County Rd. 30 when they went into the ditch on the eastside of County Rd. 19. No injuries were reported.

The department reported a personal injury accident Tuesday, February 19 at 6:37 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 116.  The vehicle was eastbound on County Rd. 10 when they lost control on the icy road, went off the road and landed on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver sustained minor injuries.

The department reported a property damage accident Tuesday, February 19 at 8:24 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 50.  The Officer located a vehicle in the ditch on the east side of County Rd. 19, just north of County Rd. 50. No injuries or damage to the vehicle were reported.

The department reported a property damage incident Friday, February 22 at 4:34 p.m. in the area of 98XX High Bluff Lane.  An unknown vehicle was west on High Bluff Lane when they ran off the road and took out the reporting party’s mailbox. The vehicle continued on without advising the homeowner. There are no suspects at this time.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a civil issue on Tuesday, February 19 at 9:44 p.m. in the 100XX block of Trail Haven Rd.  The Officer received a phone call from the resident that they were concerned for their residence as they were out-of-town.  They are guardian of a child and the child is not to be on the property while the resident is gone.  The reporting party advised the child somehow got keys to the residence and were threatening to make entry into the residence. Officers advised this is a civil issue.

The department responded to a report of shots fired on Friday, February 22 at 9:22 p.m. in the 63XX block of Snyder Rd.  The reporting party stated they heard four or five shots coming from the back of the home.  Officers checked the area and determined the noises heard were fireworks.
