The Maple Grove and Osseo Libraries will be offering several free events for teens and adults during the month of February.
Upcoming events at the Maple Grove Library, 8001 Main Street N., include the following:
“Act Out for Adults: Be Heard!,” Monday, Feb. 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. — Register online or call the library. Do you want to be heard? To be more easily understood? Learn tips, exercises and practical applications from an experienced Guthrie teaching artist on how to speak with a more motivating, inspiring and commanding voice. No experience necessary. Find more by searching the library catalog or Ask Us. This project is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Presented in collaboration with Guthrie Theater.
“Master Gardener: Annual Flowers for Minnesota,” Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. — Annuals fill the whole growing season with blooms — whether in pots or in lush waves of colorful gardens. Learn how to grow them from seed, how to buy plants from garden centers and what their common diseases are. Presented in collaboration with Hennepin County Master Gardeners, University of Minnesota Extension.
The Osseo Library, 415 Central Ave., will offer “Friends Meeting,” Monday, Feb. 25, at 6:30 p.m. — Join fellow library enthusiasts to hear what’s happening at Hennepin County Library.
