Property damage

The department reported a personal injury accident Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 5:18 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 50 and Eagle Ridge Rd. The vehicle was traveling westbound on County Rd. 50 at the curve near Eagle Ridge Rd. when the vehicle lost control, slid off the roadway and down into the creek ravine. Upon the Officer’s arrival, there were two witnesses assisting the driver and passenger in the turned over vehicle. The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries and were checked over by North Memorial Paramedics.

The department reported a personal injury accident Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4:24 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 50 and Strehler Rd. The victim was driving their snowmobile when they hit an embankment and culvert. The victim hit the handlebars and then flew over them approximately 30-40 feet. The victim was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by North Ambulance.

Theft

Theft of product was reported Monday, Feb. 11 at 10:35 a.m. in the 200XX block of 75th Ave. N. The reporting party stated they shipped product to the suspect and the checks the suspect gave to the reporting party for the product came back non-sufficient funds. The reporting party is going to send the demand for payment paperwork to the suspect. The case is pending; waiting for the outcome of the demand for payment paperwork.

Theft of a ring was reported Monday, Feb. 11 at 3:47 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated a diamond ring had been taken from their jewelry box. When the Officer asked the reporting party to describe the ring, they went to their jewelry box to find a similar looking ring and instead they found the ring they believed was missing. There was no crime at this time.

Medicals

The department responded to a medical emergency Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 2:27 p.m. in the 228XX block of County Rd. 50. A 48 year old male was dizzy, seeing black spots and had numbness in his legs. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by North Ambulance.

The department responded to a medical emergency Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:05 p.m. in the 65XX block of Bluestem Rd. N. An 18 year old female was having mental health issues. The Officer spoke with the female and felt the female would be fine at home. Transport was not necessary.

The department responded to a medical emergency Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11:37 a.m. in the 226XX block of County Rd. 10. An 18 year old male was feeling bad because they took too much medication. The patient was placed on a medical health and welfare hold. North Ambulance transported the patient to Maple Grove Hospital.

The department responded to a medical emergency Sunday, Feb. 17 at 5:34 a.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. A 72 year old male was having abdominal pain. The patient was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by North Ambulance.

Miscellaneous

The department responded to a report of a domestic on Monday, Feb. 11 at 6:04 p.m. in the 51XX block of Country Lane. The reporting party stated they felt their 16 year old son was hiding something from them. When they pressed the juvenile for an answer, the son became defiant. The Officer spoke with both parties and found the incident was a verbal argument; nothing physical between the two. No other assistance was required at this time.

The department responded to a report of a welfare check on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 10:51 a.m. in the 95XX block of Fox Valley Dr. The reporting party stated the suspect had become verbally abusive and then left the residence on foot. Officers attempted to contact the suspect and were able to talk with them via cell phone. The suspect would not give their location, but stated they were fine.

The department responded to a report of a suspicious activity on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 8:55 p.m. in the 206XX block of Rush Meadow Lane. The reporting party stated there was someone walking around their residence with a flashlight. Officers were tied up on another call, so Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputy and Rogers PD assisted. Officer advised there was no sign of a person walking around the residence.

The department responded to a report of a welfare check on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 9:02 p.m. in the 76XX block of Rolling Hills Rd. The reporting party stated they have not heard from their friend and would like Officers to check on them. Officers were tied up on another call and were assisted by West Hennepin Public Safety. The WHPS Officer advised the party had just returned home and all was fine.

The department responded to a report of smoke on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 2:09 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and Oakdale Dr. The reporting party stated they could see smoke the in area. The Officer was advised by a Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputy that they were on scene and advised it was a legal brush burn. The party was advised to use smaller piles in the future; this creates less smoke.

The department responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 4:46 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and Oakdale Dr. The reporting party stated there was a vehicle with flames coming from the tailpipe. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle and were unable to.

The department responded to a report of a snowmobile stuck on Friday, Feb. 15 at 11:25 a.m. in the area of County Rd. 116 and Hunters Ridge. The reporting party stated there may be a snowmobile stuck in the trees. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the snowmobile.

The department responded to a report of an attempt to locate on Friday, Feb. 15 at 2:43 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. St. Cloud PD called Officers requesting to attempt to locate a suspect for them. The Officer located the suspect at the residence; the Officer detained the suspect and met St. Cloud PD to transfer the suspect into their custody.
