The community is invited to celebrate the 20th Annual PIE (Parents in Education) Family Fun Carnival on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School (7650 County Road 50, west entrance).
Expect a variety of game booths and fun activities for all ages like minnow races and pie eating contests, just to name a few. The Rockford Area Schools mascot, Rockee, will also be present at the carnival to greet everyone.
A new attraction has been added this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary. A Teacher Dunk Tank will be on-hand for students and their parents to take aim and “hit the bulls-eye” to send the teacher plunging into the tank. Back by popular demand are the Take-A-Chance drawing, the Classroom Theme Basket silent auction and the Crazy Hair booth.
The carnival is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to have fun with friends, play games, have lunch and experience some entertaining carnival moments. Money raised at the carnival goes back to the school, helping fund the needs of students from kindergarten to grade eight. All of the volunteers and businesses who participate every year by giving time, money and prizes are greatly appreciated.
