The celebration was short-lived as No. 4 Osseo, fresh off a 66-56 win against Park Center, delivered  a 76-62 defeat to the Rebels in a match-up at home Feb. 8.

The split pair of conference games puts Champlin Park in the middle of the Northwestern Suburban Conference pack with an 8-6 conference record.

However, their overall record improved to 14-6 after an on the road Saturday night drubbing of non-league competitors Rogers Feb. 9.

They hosted Elk River Feb. 12  in another conference match up and will go on the road to challenge (as of this publication) a winless Coon Rapids Friday, Feb. 15. Game time is 7:15 p.m. at Coon Rapids High School.
