Jean Rolsing


Services for Jean Catherine Rolsing, 79, of St. Michael were Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at the St. Michael Historic Catholic Church in St. Michael. Rev. Joe Bambenek was the Celebrant.

The Eulogy was given by Adam Overby. Interment was at St. Michael Cemetery.

Casket Bearers were Scott Overby, Adam Overby, Ryan Overby, Michael Rolsing, Nicholas Freeman and Jason Blonigen.

Mrs. Rolsing died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

She was born July 17, 1933, in Bird Island, Minn., the daughter of Henry and Ella (Wagenmaker) McNamara.

On September 4, 1954, Jean C. McNamara and Dale R. Rolsing were joined in holy marriage in Bird Island. God blessed their marriage with four children. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage.

She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She liked cooking, gardening, bingo and spent many years bowling.

She was a member of The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael for over 50 years. She also was on the Frankfort Township Board.

Survived by her loving husband, Dale R. Rolsing; her children, Margie Overby, Jim (Vonnie) Rolsing, Mary Anne (Troy) Freeman; daughter-in-law: Liz (Jason) Blonigen; loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers and sister, Jim (Ceil) McNamara, Dan (Mary) McNamara, Larry (Marge) McNamara and Helen (John) McCormick; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Ella McNamara; her sister, Marie McNamara; her son, “Bobby” Rolsing; and by her son-in-law, Randy Overby.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
