The Rogers Royals posted their second straight lopsided shutout win, 7-0 over Cambidge-Isanti on Saturday evening on the Bluejackets’ ice, with six different players scoring.

The Royals had an 18-7 edge in shot in the first period and had to settle for one goal, by Alexander Lorman on a power play, unassisted. But the Royals knocked in three goals in each of the next two periods and finished with a 40-22 shot edge.

Travis Brown notched two goals and Lorman, Jason Roberge, Kyle Korva, Jake Good, and Matt Hellickson had one each. Nate Weber assisted on three goals. Blake Ternus made 22 saves.

The Royals (2-2 conference, 7-9-2 overall) beat St. Louis Park 4-0 on Thursday.

Cambridge-Isanti fell to 1-5 conference and 8-12 overall.

In earlier action, Royals broke a three-game winless streak beating St. Louis Park 4-0 at home Jan. 22, capped by a three-goal third period.

The Royals nursed a1-0 lead until they came alive for three goals in a span of 4:20 early in the third period. Scoring were Jason Roberge (Alexander Lorman, Nate Weber assisting), Jake Good (Kyle Ellis, Blake Miller) and Matt Hellickson (Brandon Spah, Lorman). Jacob Walker scored in the second period, with Spah and Kyle Korva assisting.

The Royals had a 46-17 edge on shots with Blake Ternus in goal for the shutout.

Rogers was to play at STMA on Tuesday.
