The Delano Math Team scored an easy victory in a 7-team conference meet at Shakopee on Monday, Jan. 14. The Tigers placed first in 3 of 4 events as well as the team event, beating their closest competitor by 30-points. Delano has finished first in their last 19 conference meets. The Tigers are closing in on their all time record, which is 21 consecutive victories.
Zach Muckenhirn and James Redinger led the way with 12 points each followed closely by Hunter Glasrud, Kristin Hedtke, Nathaniel Hood and Michael Tulkii with 10 points apiece. Hannah Bigot earned 9 points, and Sam Harris, Michael Redinger and Trey Soukup amassed 8 points each. The Tigers, whose next meet is on February 11 in Lakeville, have 52 Matheletes participating.
The final scores of the Shakopee conference are: Delano, 79 points; Lakeville South, 49 points; International School of Minnesota, 46 points; Holy Family, 43 points; Lakeville North, 40 points; Shakopee, 17 points; Northfield, 5 points.
