Maple Grove’s Wieneke chooses South Dakota State
Maple Grove all-time leading receiver Jake Wieneke has accepted a football scholarship from South Dakota State University, Crimson football coach Matt Lombardi announced this week. Wieneke set five school records during the 2012 season and led the Crimson to a conference championship and a spot in the section final. He was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player in the conference and won all-state, all-metro, and all-conference honor. He was also a finalist for Mr. Football.
