Another career night from Davison

Rallies Crimson girls over Elks

Senior guard Angie Davison scored a career high 32 points as Maple Grove rallied to win 66-58 Friday. The Crimson trailed 34-22 at halftime but outscored the Elks 44-24 in the second half.

Just a week ago, Davison exploded for 31 points in the win over Osseo. Against Elk River, she again took charge offensively to lead MG to victory.

Earlier in the week, Julie Hagert scored 17 points and Davison and Kelly Olzenak each had 10 as the Crimson beat Coon Rapids 58-47.

Maple Grove’s two wins, coupled with Osseo’s victory over Centennial, tightened the race for the conference title. Centennial is 8-1, Osseo 8-2 and MG 7-2.

The Crimson next host Blaine Friday, Jan. 18.
