Santa Claus came to town

along with his elves and helpers from the Dayton Fire Department, Santa took a spin through the park with all the lights and sirens aglow.

Children lined up in a community room filled with toys, cookies and candy canes as they readied themselves to whisper their Christmas wishes into Santa’s ear.

Mel Hartman’s hand-crafted wooden toys and dolls with handmade knitted and crocheted outfits are a longstanding feature at the visit.

The Dayton Lions helped coordinate the event.
