The Rogers Royals entered six wrestlers and all of them placed in the eight-team Chisago Lakes tournament on Friday evening. The Royals placed sixth.
Phillip Anderson was runner-up at 138 pounds, and Ryan Lien was runner-up at 220 after pinning two opponents.
“We only had six wrestlers tonight. Everyone who went placed,” said Chris Donnay, Rogers coach.
The highlight, he said, was Swanson battling back from an 8-0 deficit to win his third-place match 11-8.
“Many people would have laid down and given up but Kyler just kept going,” said the coach.
Next for Rogers is a home quadrangular on Thursday against Brooklyn Center, Park Center and Spectrum.
