The St. Michael-Albertville girls’ varsity gymnastics program was given new life after the administration decided not to cut the girls team.

With numbers still down, the season kicked off last Saturday and the Knights dropped a 133.575-115 dual meet to Cambridge-Isanti.

Nicole Ramler steps in replacing former head coach Heather Feigum. Jenna Lee is the only senior on this year’s roster. The Knights have nine girls listed on this year’s starting roster.

Rounding out the rest of the roster is junior Madison Haider, sophomores Jada Brown, Julia Leigh, Melissa Berning, freshman Rachel Chouanard, eighth grader Sydni Shelton and Anna Keefer and seventh grader Racquel Johnson.

The Knights are next in action Jan. 5 at Watertown Mayer.
