The visit of the Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train to Loretto on Dec. 13 drew one of the largest crowds ever for this event, said Medina Police Chief Ed Belland. Visitors took in live musical performances presented on a lighted boxcar stage and also donated food and money to three area food shelves. Santa, caroling, refreshments and kiddie train and wagon rides rounded out the event. Many community groups provided volunteers to engineer the Loretto train visit.
