The Rogers Royals had their first big game offensively, beating International Falls 7-3 at home on Saturday evening.
Emily Antony delivered two goals and two assists for the Royals (2-7-2). Kaitlyn Braeidy also scored two goals, and Madison Lehn, Cassie Conrad and Makenzie Perna one each.
Lehn, Perna and Alleah Baltzler made two assists each, and goalie Michelle Klimstra made 29 saves.
Jenna Anderson scored two goals for the Broncos (3-6).
In earlier action, the struggling Rogers Royal girls hockey team had a season highlight Thursday, Dec. 13, battling a good Mound-Westonka team to a 2-2 tie at home. Makenzie Perna and Emily Antony scored for the Royals (1-7-2) and Michelle Klimstra stopped 37 of 39 shots. Mound-Westonka (7-2-1) salvaged a tie when Samantha Burris scored with 41 seconds left. Joni Mazurek had their first goal. The Royals will host International Falls on Saturday, 7 p.m.
Rogers will host Hutchinson on Thursday.
