The Hanover Fire and Rescue Department responded to a medical emergency Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 8:54 p.m. at the 10000 block of Settlers Lane. The department responded to the area for an emotionally disturbed person. The department stood by in the area until the person was apprehended by Sheriffs Deputies and assessed by Paramedics.

The department responded to a medical emergency Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7:48 p.m. at the 500 block of Labeaux Ave. An adult female fainted. The department assisted EMS personnel and the party was transported by an ambulance to a hospital for further care.

The department responded to a medical emergency Monday, Dec. 10, at 7:24 a.m. at the 10000 block of Kalen Drive in Hanover. An adult Female was complaining of Dizziness. She was transported by an ambulance to a hospital for further care.

The department responded to a medical emergency Friday, Dec. 14, at 11:06 pm. at the 11000 block of Riverview Rd. Ne in Hanover. A juvenile female had overdosed on alcohol. She was transported by an ambulance to a hospital for further care.

Fire calls

The department reported a fire call Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 3:40 p.m. at the 9000 block of County Rd. 10 in Corcoran. The department responded to a damaged gas pump at a business. The department helped contain the fuel spill.

The department reported a fire call Friday, Dec. 14, at 6:32 p.m. at the 20000 block of County Rd. 10 in Corcoran. The department responded mutual aid for the Hamel Fire Department to assist with a possible unattended or illegal burn. The department stood by for approximately 20 minutes.

The Hanover Fire department Members would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Please be extra careful while traveling. Plan ahead for increased travel time due to changing weather conditions. Dress appropriately and stock needed supplies in case you become stranded in your vehicle. During severe winter conditions, do not travel unless absolutely necessary, The department thanks all of you for your continued support and it is our honor and privilege to continue to serve you all in the coming year.
