Local bank collects donations for CEAP for nearly a decade

Maple Bank is collecting toys and food again this year for C.E.A.P.  There is a collection box for toys and food at Christmas time for the past nine years, back to the bank’s opening. Last year was the first year they added a Mitten Tree in the outer foyer of the bank building.

“The response from our tenants, employees and customers has been fantastic,” said Marilyn Duffy, operations officer. “This year we are asking for donations from the community as well.”

C.E.A.P. (Community Emergency Assistance Program) serves the Brooklyn Park and Champlin area and the need is great for food donations for holiday dinners plus toys and mittens for the holidays.

Donations will be accepted during lobby hours 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; until 6 p.m. on Fridays and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon. Donations can be dropped off until Friday, Dec.14 when C.E.A.P. will pick up the donations, sort them and make them available to those in need the week before Christmas.

Maple Bank is located at 11660 Theatre Drive North in Champlin.
