Crow River Christmas celebrates 3rd year
- Luminaries and lighted trees showcase Crow River Christmas in Rockford’s Riverside Park after dark.
- Rockford area residents, volunteers, students and families join forces, and vocals, to carol in the candlelight
- Construction paper, glitter and glue … the main ingredients of any respectable holiday craft.
- One of the highlights of the Crow River Christmas is the annual “Chili Contest, and a bargain at that.
- Next stop, hot chocolate. Horses provide the transportation between Riverside Park and the Historic Stork House in downtown Rockford, where hot chocolate and tours were available.
- Event attendees get warmed up “inside and out” with chili entries from local contestants.
Crow River Christmas, a communitywide holiday celebration held in the Rockford/Greenfield area Dec. 1 (with participation from local organizations), had several events for all ages.
