Individuals who spoke at the meeting Monday night requesting to remove Bryan Lindquist from Anoka-Hennepin School District’s anti-bullying task force were disheartened to learn the school district omitted the open forum portion of the meeting from the online recording. Typically they post video of their board meetings and work sessions in their entirety. According to school officials, it is the school district’s intention not to include that information on the district’s website posting of the video. Officials also said the open forum comments may be included in the meeting minutes; however, they are typically kept brief. They aren’t expected to include testimony word-for-word. Communications Specialist Ellen Perrault verified the open forum portion of the meeting was indeed recorded and will be included in the rebroadcast on Channel 12 cable services. The district has not yet provided a response (as of press time) as to why they chose to omit the public forum comments from their website post. They are not required by law to post any portion of a meeting to the website. In all, five individuals spoke in favor of the petition to remove Lindquist while two individuals spoke in support of keeping him on the task force.
