Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the City of Osseo from Nov. 15 through Nov. 29, 2012.

Arrests:

Osseo Police arrested a 47-year-old Maple Grove man on Nov. 22 for a DWI refusal. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail and his vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police arrested a 20-year-old Fridley man on Nov. 23 on the 400 block of Central Avenue for a misdemeanor Sherburne County Warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 20-year-old Golden Valley man and a 19-year-old Golden Valley man on the 400 block of County Road 81 for possession of illegal drugs. Both suspects were released with citations.

Incidents:

Osseo Police responded to a gas drive off at the Holiday Station on Central Avenue on Nov. 16. The suspect was located a short time later and was escorted back to the station to pay for his gas. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a loud music compliant on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. The renter was advised to turn down the music or a citation would be issued. There are no charges pending.

A motor vehicle was reported stolen on Nov. 17 from the 300 block of Third Ave. S.E. There are no suspects and the vehicle was entered into a nationwide data base. The case has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Detectives.

A theft from auto was reported on Nov. 19 on the 300 block of Central Ave. The victim left her vehicle unlocked and a backpack with a HP laptop was taken. The computer has been entered into a nationwide database. There are no suspects.

Osseo Police were notified of an intoxicated person sleeping inside City Hall on Nov. 20. The 34-year-old Maple Grove man was transported to a detox facility. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to an intrusion alarm on the 100 block of County Road 81 on Nov. 22. The alarm was determined to be set off by poor weather conditions.

Osseo Police responded to a dispute on the 200 block of First Ave. N.W. on Nov. 22. Officers were able to mediate the issue. There are no charges pending.

A threat was reported to the Osseo Police on Nov. 23 on the 100 block of Fourth Ave. S.E. The case has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Detectives for review.

A motor vehicle was reported stolen on Nov. 27 on the 300 block of County Road 81. There are no suspects and the vehicle was entered into a nationwide database. The case has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Detectives.

Osseo Police responded to a suspicious activity report on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on Nov. 29. When officers arrived they learned a 30-year-old New Hope man was the victim of a strong arm robbery. Officers learned the victim and suspect may have known each other and there is no threat to public safety. The case is currently under investigation by the Osseo Police Department, Hennepin County Detectives, and the Hennepin County Crime Lab.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to an 87-year-old unconscious male unresponsive on the 50 block of Central Ave. The male regained consciousness and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 91-year-old female having a possible stroke on the 600 block of Central Ave. on Nov. 17. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 81-year-old female having a possible heart attack on the 300 block of First Ave. N.E. on Nov. 21. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 27-year-old female having breathing issues. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 89-year-old male that fell and his this head on the 600 block of Central Ave. on Nov. 23. He was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 18-year-old male having a diabetic problem on the 200 block of Seventh Ave. N.E. on Nov. 24. He was transported to Gillette Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 87-year-old male having severe back pain on Nov. 25. The patient was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 75-year-old female having a diabetic problem on the 600 block of Central Avenue on Nov. 26.

Osseo Police responded to an elderly female having a possible stroke on the 100 block of Fifth Ave. N.E. on Nov. 28. The patient was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 94-year-old female having a seizure on the 200 block of Fourth Ave. S.E. on Nov. 28. She was transported to Methodist Hospital by North Ambulance.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a property damage hit and run accident on the 600 block of Seventh St. N.E. on Nov. 20. Attempts to locate the suspect vehicle were unsuccessful. A state accident report was completed.

Osseo Police responded to a minor personal injury motorcycle accident on the 600 block of Third St. N.E. on Nov. 22. The cyclist lost control on poor road conditions and fell off the cycle. The driver refused medical treatment and was able to drive away. A state accident report was completed.
