Toys for Tots

NOW THROUGH DEC. 19 — The Champlin Police will partner with Toys for Tots to collect toys for needy kids this holiday season. Donations of unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the Champlin Police Department or Champlin City Hall, both located at 11955 Champlin Drive, Champlin; or at the Champlin Ice Forum, 12165 Ensign Avenue North, Champlin.

Toys for CROSS

NOW THROUGH DECEMBER — Hardee’s, at 14086 Northdale Blvd. in Rogers, will give everyone who donates a new toy for CROSS a free beverage. CROSS Food Shelf will receive these toys and give them to children in the community during the month of December in conjunction with the Toys for Tots/Teens program. Also, anyone interested can donate food or toys to CROSS. The warehouse is at 12915 Weinand Circle in Rogers. CROSS serves Maple Grove, Osseo, Rogers, west Champlin, Dayton and Corcoran.

‘Miracle on Christmas Lake II’

THROUGH DEC. 30 — Yellow Tree Theatre, 320 Fifth Ave. S.E. in Osseo, will bring back the sequel to its original smash-hit holiday comedy “Miracle on Christmas Lake II” by Jessica Lind. Performances run Nov. 23 through Dec. 30. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. matinees Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets range from $17 to 23. Visit for more information.

Maple Grove Indoor Farmers Market

DEC. 6 & 20 — The Maple Grove Farmers Market has moved indoors of the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road. The Indoors Market will be open on Thursdays, Nov. 15 and Dec. 6 and 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. each day. Items available for purchase may include: seasonal produce, meat products, baked goods, jams/jellies, cheese, sauces/syrups, honey and more. Santa Shop & Dessert  Night

DEC. 7 — Dayton Elementary School will host a Santa Shop and Dessert Night Friday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Gifts for children to purchase will be on sale from $1 to $10. Dessert and refreshments will be available for purchase. Entertainment provided by Champlin Park High School Choir. Proceeds will benefit the Dayton PTO. Dayton Elementary School is located at 12000 South Diamond Lake Road, Dayton.

Osseo Minidazzle

DEC. 7 — The annual Osseo Minidazzle and Tree Lighting event will be Friday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. along Central Avenue in front of Osseo City Hall, 415 Central Ave., and in Boerboom Veterans Memorial Park.

Visit with Santa

DEC. 8 — Santa will be visiting Broadway Pizza in Champlin, 11186 Commerce Drive, Saturday, Dec. 8, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. People are welcome to come and have lunch or dinner with Santa. Get a free picture with Santa with a non-perishable food donation to the Emergency Food Shelf Network.

Pasta dinner fundraiser

DEC. 9 — The Champlin Park High School Nordic Ski Team is hosting their annual Pasta Dinner Fundrasier Sunday, Dec. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Servant of Christ Church, 740 E. Hayden Lake Road in Champlin.

Enjoy a fabulous meal of pasta, salad, dessert & drink all for only $7 per person.

DEC. 10 — The Champlin City Council will hold its regular business meeting at Champlin City Hall, 11955 Champlin Drive.

Anoka-Hennepin School Board meeting

DEC. 10 — The Anoka-Hennepin School Board will hold a regular school board meeting at 6:30 p.m. to be held at the Sandburg Education Center, 1902 2nd Avenue North, Anoka.

Dayton council meeting

DEC. 11 — There will be a Dayton City Council meeting at 7 p.m. at Dayton City Hall, located at 12260 South Diamond Lake Road.
