September Incident Update

The following is a summary of select incidents occurring during the month of September 2012.

On Sept. 15, a Dayton Police Officer received a report of an injured male party that was believed to have been in an accident. The reporting party stated he was hunting when a male can running up to his deer stand. The male was bleeding and appeared to need medical attention. The male told the reporting party he had been in a motorcycle accident. When the reporting party called for his hunting partners to come help, the male ran off. An investigation took place and officers searched the area for several hours. Officers made contact with the family of the motorcycle owner. The next day the owner of the motorcycle made contact with the police requesting to file an accident report.

The Dayton Police are still seeing several burglaries each month. The neighborhood watch groups have continued to grow and there has also been an increase in the number of suspicious activity calls. Police hope residents will continue to call whenever they see something suspicious. Please remember to lock your homes and vehicles. Don’t give criminals the opportunity.
