Rockford Library a busy place in December

The Rockford Library, located at 8220 Cedar St. in downtown Rockford, has some fun events planned for December.

From Dec. 3 to 8, during library hours, the library will hold its annual Holiday Book and Bake Sale. There’s still time to make donations, the more baked goods the better. The Friends of the Rockford Library save the best holiday books all year for this event.

On Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 7 p.m., Rolf and Carrie perform “Music in the Library” with a delightful combination of oboe and bass. This is an all age event.

On Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., come join the fun in learning the intricate craft of paper folding to create a Froebel, or German Star, decoration. This three-dimensional star is woven and folded paper and be used for bows, mobiles, wreaths and decorating in general. Learn this craft and share it with friends and family. Registration is required for this event.
