Crow River Girl Scouts are hosting a Children’s Holiday Shopping Mall Saturday, Dec. 1, at STMA Middle School West, 11343 50th Street NE, Albertville.

The Girl Scout Families have been busy putting together inexpensive gifts that the children can buy. All the gifts will be priced between 25 cents and $5.

Older Girl Scouts will escort the children too small to shop on their own. Give your child a budget, cash (small bills are best), and a shopping list and put them in a lockable plastic bag with their name and phone number on it. This is for children old enough to walk through fifth grade. This sale is not for adults (adults will be allowed to shop from noon until 1 p.m.)

Each table in the mall will gift-wrap and tag the presents. When you arrive, get your shopper a number. When the shops open the Girl Scouts will announce numbers and match the shopper up with a Girl Scout helper.

There will be no need to wait in a line. While waiting to shop the children can watch holiday movies and the adults can browse the sweet shop for some tasty baked goods.

Talk with Santa and have a photo taken.

Children are encouraged to bring a donation of a non-perishable food item(s), personal hygiene item(s) or egg cartons for the food shelf in Hanover.

The Women of Today will be participating and providing an activity for the children.
