Crow River Christmas, Dec. 1
Several holiday themed activities will be hosted by various organizations throughout Rockford on Saturday, Dec. 1. Times and locations are listed here:
The Christmas Express is a bus sponsored that will take you to all the Dec. 1 venues. The bus will be running from 8 a.m. to 1:30pm.
8 to 10 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast, hosted by Youth With a Mission (on 20 St. SE off of Co. Rd 20. between Rockford and Hanover).
9 a.m. to noon: Make a Christmas Decoration, and enjoy live music and a caroling sing-a-long at United Presbyterian Church.
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: RiverWorks Thrift Store Arts-n-Crafts Bazaar at the Rockford Mall with over 20 craft vendors and the Crow River Food Co-op selling concessions.
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Holiday Cookie Walk, Silent Auction and Craft Sale, cookies sold by the pound, soup and sandwich lunch concessions at Our Fathers Lutheran Church.
1 to 3 p.m.: Crow River Food Co-op Chili at the Rockford Lion’s Building. For a nominal fee, attendees can taste them all help choose the winner. Think you have the best chili in town? Prove it, $10 registration.
1 to 4 p.m.: Free Horse and Wagon Rides through the park and over to the Stork House for tours and hot chocolate. In the park Rockford Ambassadors will host games for kids.
4 to 7p.m.: Lighting up the Riverside, Christmas music by the Rockford High School, bon fires and food available for purchase.
