Arrests & Citations

On Friday, Nov. 2, at 11:43 a.m. at Mohawk Dr. and Chippewa Rd., Monty Louis Sopkowiak, 47, of Buffalo was arrested for Driver After Cancellation – Inimical to Public Safety, and was released pending issuance of formal complaint.


On Saturday, Nov. 3, at 2:33 a.m. no the 00 block of Hamel Rd., a cell phone was reported stolen.


On Monday, Oct. 29,a t 8:52 p.m. on the 300 block of Clydesdale Tr., it was reported that a business had its front door open, and the open sign out, but was unoccupied. The owner was advised.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7:15 a.m. at Brockton Lane N and Hamel Rd., there was a report of dogs running “off leash” at the Hamel ball fields, something that is ongoing.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7:10 p.m. on the 700 block of Highway 55, there was a gas drive off of $13.19. The vehicle’s owner was contacted and returned to pay.

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 3:03 p.m. at Comanche Tr. and Hunter Dr., an individual sustained a dog bite.

On Thursday, Nov. 1, at 10:13 a.m. at County Rd. 24 and Medina Rd., a BB gun was found on the side of the road and is being held at the police station for safekeeping.

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 4:57 p.m. at Chippewa Rd. and Willow Dr., a damaged street sign was reported.

On Friday, Nov. 2, at 1:37 p.m. on the 600 block of Hamel Rd, a resident reported seeing 35 to 40 coyotes in the brush behind her residence.

On Saturday, Nov. 3, at 9:44 p.m. at Deer Hill Rd, and Willow Dr., it was reported that a vehicle was on fire. The Long Lake Fire Department responded and extinguished hot spots.
