Historic Anoka Brings kicks off holiday season with annual tree lighting
Everyone is invited to get into the holiday spirit at this fun and festive hometown event. On Saturday, Dec. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m., Anoka will light the official City Holiday Tree complete with a countdown.
Festivities include horse-drawn trolley rides, merry holiday music, refreshments and a bonfire inspiring an old-fashioned Christmas feel. Bring the kids and see Santa in the Santa Shack.
Dining at downtown restaurants and holiday shopping will also be available along Main Street and in the vicinity. Tree lighting and activities will occur at Anoka City Hall, Plaza-2015 2nd Avenue North in historic downtown Anoka.
