High places earned at North St. Paul gym meet

Competing at the annual Harvest Invitational gymnastics club meet in North St. Paul, three teams from the North Shore club earned top four finishes.

The Level 5 squad placed second, while Level 4 was third and Level 6 captured fourth.

With an all-around score of 36.15, Mei Vickery (9) from Level 4 finished in fourth place overall, taking fifth on uneven bars (9.075) and sixth place on vault (9.30).

In the floor exercise, Peyton Dickhausen (9) and Kennedy Schmidt (8) each earned a score of 8.95, tying them for eighth place.

First place honors for the Level 5 team went to Makena Rasmussen (8) in all-around (35.75), while Samantha Poeschl (11) was second (35.55).

Poeschl’s performance on the uneven bars earned her a first place finish with 9.30, followed by Rasmussen’s 9.275, good for second place.

Olivia Jahnke (9) was ninth in the all-around with Colette Mayhew (10) taking 10th. Mayhew took third on beam ( 9.10).

North Shore’s Level 6 team had three gymnasts finish in the top 10. Abby Ylitalo (12) placed sixth in the all-around (35.525), finishing fourth on vault at 9.30

Seventh place in the all-around went to Nicole Albertson (13) with 35.50. Bella Burke (11) was 10th at 34.75.
