Beginning Thursday, Nov. 15, the new Albertville Westbound Collector-Distributor Road will be opened to traffic.
It is anticipated the opening will occur after the a.m. rush hour, and at approximately 10 a.m. Westbound traffic destine for County Rd. 19 and the Outlet Mall will be able to access County Rd. 19 via exit 201 and westbound traffic destine for County Rd. 37 will access County Rd. 37 via exit 201.
Certain traffic control devices will temporarily remain in place to facilitate motorist acclimation to the new collector-distributor route.
In spring, final restoration of the project corridor will be completed. At this time there are no future lane closures scheduled for this project.
“Thank you to all for your patience and understanding during construction,” Albertville City Administrator/Engineer Adam Nafstad said. “This project improves freeway access and mobility, and was necessary to preserve the functions of the freeway and local routes.”
