WHPS scholarship winner
West Hennepin Public Safety Director Ray McCoy and Sgt. Gary Kroells present Independence resident Jay McCoy with a $750 scholarship from the Minnesota Police Chiefs Association. The scholarship is presented to individuals pursuing a career in law enforcement. McCoy has been attending Metro State College and will complete his Law Enforce studies summer of 2013. McCoy is currently working as a Community Service Officer at Metro Transit Police and is an active member of the Maple Plain Fire Department.
