NOV. 8 — Corcoran City Council will meet will next meet Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at city hall at 8200 County Rd. 116.
NOV. 10 — The annual Mary Queen of Peace Holiday Bazaar will be Saturday, Nov 10, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the church hall at 21304 Church Ave in downtown Rogers. Crafts, baked goods, theme baskets and raffle items will be available. Early morning coffee and muffins with lunch at 11 am.
Holiday craft boutique
NOV. 10 — The Maple Grove Holiday Craft Boutique will be Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road in Maple Grove. Maple Grove Lions, Dandelions and Maple Grove Seniors are sponsoring the event. All profits from the table rentals will go toward community projects.
St. Paul’s craft/bake sale
NOV. 10 — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hanover is hosting its annual craft and bake sale Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch menu includes chicken wild rice soup, chili, bbq sandwich, egg salad sandwich, bars, coffee and milk. All are welcome.
Artistry in Wood Show
NOV. 10 & 11 — Minnesota Viking Woodcarving Club, a non-profit organization, will be hosting its annual Artistry in Wood Show Saturday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southtown Shopping Center, I-494 & Penn Avenue S. in Bloomington. The show will also featuring Minnesota’s own nonagenarian, world famous chip carver Walt Grittner, as well as many other artists in wood from all over the upper Midwest. Shown will be many disciplines in wood carving including chip carving, relief carving, carving in the round, intarsia, marguetry, parquetry, wood turnings, bark carving, wood burning and other interesting crafts in wood.
Legion Veterans Day program
NOV. 11 — St. Michael American Legion is hosting a Veterans Day program at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West (old high school) Sunday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. Guest speaker is Chris Sauro. Music by STMA High School Chamber Singers and directed by Joseph Osowski.
NOV. 13 — Rogers City Council will meet Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Rogers Community Center.

Osseo Book Club
NOV. 13 — The Osseo Book Club will meet Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Edinburgh Golf Clubhouse, 8700 Edinbrook Crossing in Brooklyn Park. Lori Sturdevant, Star Tribune reporter and author of “The Pillsbury’s of Minnesota,” will be the featured speaker. The luncheon time is at noon with the speaker to follow.
Movie Night at library
NOV. 15 — The St. Michael Public Library will have a Movie Night for families Thursday, Nov. 15, 6 to 7:30 p.m. This movie is part of the Third Thursday Family Programming at the library, and the movie showing is based on a Dr. Seuss book. NOV. 15 — Looking for a way to give back to the community but don’t have a lot of time to volunteer? The American Red Cross reminds people that in only about an hour, those eligible can help save lives by donating blood and feel instant gratification. The Albertville Lions Club is hosting the Red Cross Blood Drive Thursday, Nov. 15, from 1:30 to 6:15 p.m. at St Albert’s Parish Center. To schedule an appointment, call 497-2413.
Wizard of Oz
NOV. 15 THROUGH 18 — St Michael-Albertville High School is proud to present the Wizard of OZ.
Join as Dorothy Gale from Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. When all of a sudden a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to a world of Dorothy’s imagination. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel through the world of Oz. Shows will be on Nov. 15, 16, and 17 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. at the STMA Performing Arts Center (5800 Jamison Ave. NE St. Michael MN 55376).
