Kiffmeyer, Fitzsimmons win big in Senate 30, Rep. 30B
Republicans Mary Kiffmeyer and David Fitzsimmons handily won election to the state legislature.
Kiffmeyer secured the Senate Dist. 30 seat, beating challenger Paul Perovich. Kiffmeyer secured 25,177 votes, or 62 percent, to Perovich’s 15,103 votes, or 37 percent.
Fitzsimmons also won with 62 percent of the vote total, or 11,992 votes, against challenger Sharon Shimek’s 7,367 votes, or 38 percent.
