CHAMPLIN: Miller, Terry top vote getters in their wards

Kara Terry and Bruce Miller will be the two new additions to the Champlin City Council come January 2013.

Miller won the Ward 3 seat with a commanding 1,412 votes (62.48 percent) over opponent Nick Rice who earned 829 votes (36.68 percent). There were 19 write-in votes in Ward 3.

Terry won the Ward 4 seat with 1,078 votes (46.85 percent). Opponent Edward Schmitz earned 708 votes (30.77 percent) and Rick Klemesrud earned 501 votes (21.77 percent). There were 14 write-in votes in Ward 4.
