Editor’s Note: The following is a sampling of some, but not nearly all, of the Rogers Police calls from Oct. 22 to Oct. 29.

Monday, Oct. 22

Burglary of occupied dwelling reported at 14200 block of Jodis Dr. Suspect vehicle had window smashed out by victim. No ID of suspects other than late 20’s wearing stocking cap, white males, driving newer white 4-door car. Stereo receiver and DVD/CD player taken totaling $200, and one outdoor security camera taken from outside valued at $50.

Someone attempted to swindle an elderly person at 12500 block of Marion Court into wiring $2,800 via moneygram. The suspect used the guise of being the reporting party’s grandson. The reporting party contacted family to learn grandson was in Minnesota. Referred the reporting party to report the incident to MNSCAMS.ORG and no longer communicate with the callers. No loss. The scam phone number area codes come back to California and Quebec. Similar reports of the scam on the internet originating from 213-286-9999.

Wednesday, Oct. 24

Theft from Pet Food Etc. of Northdale Boulevard totaling $3,000 to $4,000 in losses. Theft led to crash and altercation with employee in Wright County who followed suspect vehicle with his vehicle. All parties allegedly under arrest after felony assaults at the crash location.

Rogers Police were dispatch to a theft at the Target store. Responding to the call, were updated that the male party became uncooperative and fled the store. Sgt. Foster located the possible suspect’s vehicle near the Target store. Attempting to stop the vehicle, the male suspect in the rear fled the vehicle. The male suspect did eventual came back to the stop location. All three parties that were involved were trespassed from the store. The male that stole the item was cited for misdemeanor theft and fleeing without force and released to his father.

Thursday, Oct. 25

Conducted a dog sniff at Rogers High School. A dog alerted to vehicle. A search revealed a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, a glass marijuana pipe, two pharmaceutical pills, and empty baggies. Items were seized. The suspected marijuana, pills, a cellphone, and a clear plastic baggie containing white powdery residue were turned over to Hennepin detectives. Subject was transported to Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Facility and booked.

Drug possession was reported at Rogers High School. Subject party’s vehicle was searched, and a substance believed to be marijuana was found. Subject issued a citation.

An employee at Flame Metal Processing caught and injured his hand in a machine. The employee was transported by paramedics to a hospital.

Friday, Oct. 26

Nancy Jo Fuchs, 49, was arrested for third degree DWI at 21451 South Diamond Lake Rd.

Saturday, Oct. 27

Shanice Silas, 19, was cited for suspended license at County Rd. 81 and Interstate 94.

Dispatch advised of a theft suspect vehicle description from Albertville Mall, Wright County Sheriff’s Office requested Rogers attempt to locate the car. Wright County Deputy stopped the suspect vehicle eastbound I-94 east of the Crow River into Hennepin County. Officer provided backup until additional units arrived on scene, then cleared. Three males were detained by Wright County.

Sunday, Oct. 28

Bryan Vincent Berlien, 26, was cited misdemeanor animal cruelty, kicking a dog, at the 24400 block of Superior Drive. Dog appeared in good health and uninjured.
