Delano High School drama students will transform the Delano Middle School stage into an old haunted hotel called The Inn of the Three Sisters for their Nov. 1, 2 and 3 productions of “A-Haunting We Will Go.”
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 and Friday, Nov. 2, and at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Tickets will be available at the door. Delano Middle School is located on Tiger Drive north of Elm Avenue in Delano.
“A-Haunting We Will Go” is a mystery comedy that might be too spooky for very young audience members and the faint of heart.
In the play, high-powered television producer Norma Corwin, portrayed by Emma Kopp, wants to spend one last night in The Inn of Three Sisters in the town where she grew up. Her stay must be now because the inn will be demolished in the morning.
What was supposed to be a quiet, nostalgic night turns into a steady parade of weird characters, including Steven Young as a crazy old prospector, Emily Holm as an escaped mental patient, Alex Huss as a seemingly normal young serviceman and Ann Kliszcz and Drew Hamer playing a couple of kidnappers. Ghosts and zombies also decide to show up.
