The Wright County Planning Commission has scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, a public hearing on a proposed ordinance amendment relating to athletic complexes as accessories to commercial outdoor recreation uses.
After the public hearing, the Planning Commission will make a recommendation and referral for final action to the Wright County Board of Commissioners.
The proposed amendment would define and allow an athletic complex as an accessory to commercial outdoor recreation uses. This would allow construction of buildings, facilities and other items directly related to outdoor recreation, such as soccer. Currently these uses are limited to outdoor locations only, and this amendment would allow associated indoor and related facilities.
