LETTER: ArMand Nelson has the most leadership, experience for Champlin mayor job

To the Editor:

My husband and I have over 50 years combined in civil service: mine in the federal sector; Charlie, my husband, at the state level. We agree that experience, compassion, commitment and integrity are key characteristics of an outstanding Civic Leader. ArMand possesses these qualities and that is why he has our vote for Champlin Mayor on Nov. 6.

ArMand demonstrates experience by serving as a Champlin City Council Member. He also has worked for over 30 years at Gander Mountain and is currently their Director of Information Technology.

ArMand demonstrates compassion by his long history of volunteerism in the Champlin community. He has served our schools and city long before he ever thought about running for mayor.

ArMand and his wife, who is a teacher, have lived in Champlin for 22 years. Champlin is where they chose to raise their children, Spencer and Carter; both of them have attended Anoka Hennepin Schools. ArMand is committed to his city and community.

ArMand demonstrates integrity by serving as: Past President and Treasurer at Oxbow PTO; Past President of Servant of Christ Lutheran Church; and Past Chairman of the Champlin Public Safety Commission, to name a few.

Please join my husband and me in voting for ArMand Nelson, the candidate with the most leadership, experience and qualifications to be our next mayor.
