Rockford Area School district residents are invited to attend any of three public meetings, held in October, to learn more about the upcoming bond election.
The meetings, all beginning at 6:30 p.m., are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11 at Rockford Middle School, Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Rockford High School, and Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Corcoran City Hall.
At the meetings, Rockford School Board and administration will review buildings and grounds needs in the school district. During the last few months, the board has studied enrollment data; facility, technology and site needs; financial projections and options; and the results of their recent community survey. In July, the board voted unanimously to ask the voters to consider a bond issue question not to exceed $27 million in the November 6 general election.
Superintendent Paul Durand encourages district residents “to become informed and be sure to vote on Tuesday, November 6, 2012”.
