Delano dominated the Wright County Conference meet last Friday, claiming four of the seven titles, placing second in the other three.
Laura Finn captured the crown at No. 1 singles for the second time. The senior also won as a sophomore and took second last year.
“She played some great tennis and has been a key player on this team for many years,” said coach Kim Finn about her daughter who won her fifth All-Conference honor.
Slowed by an injured ankle suffered earlier in the week, Kristin Hedtke took second at No. 2 singles.
Also placing second was Laura Parsons at third singles and eighth-grader Katie Schleif at No. 4 singles.
Delano won all three titles at doubles. Allison Sandlass and Cassy Finn won at first doubles where Finn claimed her third title and fourth All-Conference honors. Sandlass won her second title.
Allison Warne and Katie Vatnsdal won at second doubles in a tie-breaker. Alex Schreyer and Tayler Hedtke had no problems winning third doubles.
The section team tourney started Tuesday, with semifinals set for Thursday, Oct. 4 and finals Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Gustavus in St. Peter.
The individual tourney starts Oct. 12.
