Volleyball: Bluejackets stop Royals 3-1

The Rogers Royals bounced back from a first-game loss and defeated Big Lake, 20-25, 25-17, 27-25, 5-15 at Big Lake Sept. 18.
Lizzy Meyer notched 13 kills and five solo blocks for the Royals (2-2 conference, 6-5 overall). Claire Martinez had three of the team’s seven aces. Abby Folk made 33 digs and Martinez 16. Maddie Badrrawi made 25 assists.
Big Lake is now 5-10.
Cambridge-Isanti overcame the Rogers Royals 25-16, 27-29, 25-18, 25-13 on Thursday evening.
Rogers got 11 kills from Maleia Ysteboe, 30 digs from Abby Folk, and 25 assists from Maddie Badrawi.
The Bluejackets are 2-3 in conference and 7-5 overall.
Rogers (2-3 conference, 6-6 overall) will next play at Champlin Park.
