Rockford Library sets upcoming programs
The Rockford Public Library is offering the following programs and activities:
Book and Bake Sale — The Friends of the Rockford Library Book and Bake Sale will take place Monday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 6. Visit the library during open hours to find great baked goods and excellent deals on used books. Library hours are Monday and Tuesday, 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday 3 to 8 p.m., Friday 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten — The Rockford Public Library is now offering the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Children can be enrolled in the program as soon as they are born with the goal that parents or other caregivers will read 1,000 books to them before they enter kindergarten. The library will provide a reading record, incentives and prizes to encourage children along the way. The program purpose is to encourage a love of reading and to prepare children’s minds for literacy and early academic success. This program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Rockford Library.

Great River Regional Library (GRRL) provides library services at 32 public libraries in Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd and Wright Counties. It provides Central Minnesota residents with nearly 1 million books, CDs and DVDs, 250 public computers, programming and information services.
